Every year a Christian music festival called Blackstump is held just outside of Sydney, Australia. This year, the Music & Arts Discipleship Training School was given the privilege to be part of the pastoral team. We had some fantastic encounters with young people and musicians. Ashley Edwards, one of the students from our DTS, experienced a very exciting encounter with a young girl in high school on the last night of Blackstump. Two girls who wanted prayer for a deeper relationship with Christ approached Ashley. Little did they know,
God was already speaking to her about them.
The words He gave her to share with them really touched one of the girls. She told Ashley that she knew it must have come from God, because it was so spot on for her life. Ashley encouraged the girl that God is always there and He does listen. His plans for her are great and they prayed that she would see that. After a short time, the girl recommitted her life to Christ and prayed she would not lose her fire and passion for Christ.
Many people recommitted their lives to Christ
and many committed for the first time at Blackstump. We believe music is a strong tool for ministry and we were blessed to see lives changed with this tool.
