Tweeting To Skaters In Japan

By YWAM Newcastle on April 16, 2013 in Discipleship Training Schools, Outreach

Week 1 Update from our Summer Classic DTS outreach team in Japan.

Establishing relationships with the locals.

That is what this first week has been all about. We have met A LOT of people whom we have been able to keep in contact with already. On Wednesday during our evangelism time some of our team went up to two skaters and introduced themselves. After talking and skating for a while they had to leave so Danny added them on Twitter to keep in contact. Two days later we tweeted to them that we would be at a park nearby and surely enough they showed up! Then about ten minutes after they left another group of skaters came up and we introduced ourselves to them. We hung out with them for a good few hours and

added them on Twitter as well.

We are arranging a skate sesh for sometime next week that we’re going to attempt to get all of these guys to come to. That will including skating, dinner, sharing our testimonies and a bit of a summary of why we are here in Japan. God is working slowly but surely through us here in Tokyo by opening doors and we are stoked to see how it unravels! Please pray they all come next week and that they are open to hear the good news we came to bring. Stay tuned to hear more of what God does.
