Faith Without Seeing | Bangladesh Outreach Update

By YWAM Newcastle on February 12, 2013 in Discipleship Training Schools, Outreach

Hello from Bangladesh!

We’ve been here for over three weeks now and God has been doing some amazing things!

Something that has really blessed us this week is the hospitality in the families we encounter and the fact that they love to bless us. Who would have thought that we would have been showered down upon in blessings as we came here to bless the people? It’s awesome!

One day our team split up into two groups and we did some house visits. We walked past many stacks of hay, crumbling bricks, and some tied up cows and goats to reach the family that we would be visiting. This home was a tiny structure composed of mud & concrete and consisted of one room, some shelves, a bed and a few pots. After we drank some tea we went to another home where the rest of our team members were jammed in between many family and friends. Again we were offered some drinks and then we practiced our Bangla and they practiced their English as we had some nice conversations.

A boy who had some eye problems was brought forward and we started to lay hands on him and pray for healing.

While we put forth our words unto God, His presence could be felt in the room!

Although the young boy was not healed right in that moment we are going to continually pray for him and we believe that we will see him healed!

Thank-you for all your prayers and encouragement; this country needs to see the love of God and we’re excited for what he’s going to continue to do in and through us!
