This weekend 10 students from all over the world will be arriving to begin their DTS! While the students are making their final departure preparations, myself and the DTS staff team are making our final preparations for their arrival. I am eager and expectant of what God’s going to do over these next six months!
A verse that I specifically have for the school is from Mark 16:15-18 (NKJ):
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
When God blesses us, He does it not only because He loves us, but in order that we ourselves may be a blessing. I am expecting that over the course of the DTS God will enrich each of our relationships with Him one, because He loves us but also so that we may go and tell others so that they may know Him and receive the same blessing that we as Christians have received. These verses from Mark provoke both boldness and evangelism, and that is exactly what I want to emphasize from the very beginning of this school. I believe these two things will be what set apart the April DTS. We will be a group that is not afraid to go and boldly declare the things God has done and is still doing!
