The March Staff Training Seminar (STS) has now commenced! We are in our second week and have already heard from many great speakers on key topics.

STS is a 3-week course consisting of lectures and on-the-job training which seeks to develop and empower staff so they are better equipped to work more effectively in a full-time ministry context. STS is specifically designed with interactive workshop style sessions that impart YWAM Newcastle’s values, history and foundational biblical principles. Some topics include “Transitioning from Student to Staff”, “Personal Well-Being”, “Mentoring”, “Holiness in Relationships”, “Faith and Finances” and more. In the afternoon, the students serve in a specific department on the base to gain hands-on experience.

The March STS has four students, Brooke, Talea, Susie and Christy, and it is being led by Robbie, with Erin and Melissa staffing.

YWAM Newcastle runs STS’s every quarter, and the next STS will start on the 10th of May. With YWAM Newcastle’s strong emphasis in developing young, emerging leaders, there are endless opportunities to dive into missions through our base!

If you are interested in joining us here at YWAM Newcastle, you can check out our STS page here or email [email protected] for more information.
