The October DTS Outreach Update!

By YWAM Newcastle on February 24, 2011 in Discipleship Training Schools, Outreach

The October DTS is 2/3rds of the way through their outreaches and they have been incredible!
Here is a quick summery of some of the things they’ve been up to.

The mexico team has spent the first 6 weeks working with Megacities! Megacities is a year long outreach to Mexico City that focuses on reaching the city from multiple angles, with the overiding goal of being a catalyst to the local church. They have seen salvations and healing and the churches they’ve worked with become more excited about evangelism and reaching their cities!

They just made it to Mazatlan, Mexico where they will spend their remaining two and a half weeks. They are going to be working in a village, and then doing ministry during Carnival, which is the Mexican version of Mardi Gras.

The Uganda team spent the first two and a half weeks working in a village with a friend of the team leaders from Australia.  She is 24 years old and has pioneered a school near Jinja where she is focusing on getting God woven through all of the subjects the students learn.

They then headed to a village a few hours away where they are working with a pastor’s DTS.  The team is visiting each pastor for two days, teaching seminars and running crusades and doing door to door evangelism.  They are also going into schools and going to go into a prison.

Pray that their final week is incredibly powerful.
