I love Base Days.

Each Wednesday, our entire community comes together for worship, teaching and intercession, and these times can often hold key God moments for both students and staff.

This morning in particular, Robbie led us in a time of worship with Hillsong and Cory Asbury worship songs all centered around a theme of “intimacy.” Through one song, he led us in praying for our Youth Street Crew. Some lyrics that stood out from the first verse of “Oh You Bring” by Hillsong:

Oh you give peace to the restless
And joy to homes that are broken
I see You now
In You I’m found
Following our time of worship, our Base Director, Stevo, led us in a time of Bible meditation over the first 16 verses of Hebrews chapter 12. After reading through this passage a few times, staff and students were given the opportunity to hear directly from God from this passage and share with one another at the end. Upon sharing back, three main points were highlighted and corporately declared – “Look ahead. Get along. Get trained.” I would definitely encourage you to spend time in this chapter as there are many revelations and nuggets of truth to be found.

Finally, we wrapped up our morning as Stevie led us in a time of intercession for the recent earthquake in New Zealand and the political unrest in Libya. Intercession was a great time for us to show that we are supporting our neighbor, New Zealand, as well as praying into God’s solutions for all the protests and unrest in the Middle East.

Like I said…I love Base Days.
