Who’s speaking on the January DTS’s?

Who’s  speaking on the January DTS’s?

This is a little taste of the incredible people coming through YWAM Newcastle this January quarter.

Jan Denharder-Spiritual Warfare: Jan started his ministry in Amsterdam with his wife Nancy. They served on ‘The Ark’ (a ministry of YWAM) which was used to reach spiritual seekers travelling the hippy trail from Afghanistan, Nepal, and India.  They also smuggled Bibles to the persecuted churches in Eastern Europe.   They were also part of a team that pioneered ministry in the ‘Red Light’ district in Amsterdam.  They have pastored and planted many churches, and Jan has traveled to over 70 nations to teach.  They currently reside in Ventura, California where they serve on a leadership team with John Dawson, the President of YWAM.

David PierceEvangelism: David and Jodi Pierce are the executive directors of Steiger International, which is called to train, equip and release apostolic church planting teams around the world and to raise up evangelistic artists who would impact the trend setters in the fields of art and media with the message of the Cross.

David and Jodi share God’s broken heart for the lost. In the early 80s, they started a bible study in Amsterdam on barge behind Central Station for the punks and anarchists of that city. Out of this ministry, David started the band No Longer Music (NLM), an evangelistic tool to reach the “Secular Global Youth Culture”.
Using NLM as the vehicle, David and Jodi have gone into some of the most revolutionary, and often dangerous, underground communities in the world to reach people for Jesus. Punks, goths, militants, mercenaries, radical Muslims- David and Jodi have ministered to them all. Their energized and avant-garde use of extreme music and theater to communicate the gospel continues to win lives for Jesus from South America to Siberia.

Mark Parker-Lordship: Mark is the director of YWAM New Zealand.  He is base leader of the Auckland base and an excellent teacher.  Mark’s passion is discipleship and leadership development and seeing young people grow and fulfilling all that the Lord has created them for. He often teaches on ‘The Cross, Lordship’ and ‘Relationships’ on the DTSs in NZ, South Pacific, Australia and SE Asia. He is a favourite in YWAM Australia and thousands of DTS students have been affected by his teaching.

There will be other DTS’s…but the January 2011 Sports, Classic, and Outdoors won’t happen again.
Are you meant to be on one?
It’s not to late to apply for DTS!
