It has been such an incredible year as we’ve seen God do some amazing things on our centre through property development, major city wide events, training and much more. Just wanting to share a thought with you as well as a list of our highlights from the year, a special video, and more!

When Jesus felt the pain of Mary and Martha, when they’d lost their brother, we’re told he was deeply troubled. He wept.

Two key comments from Jesus after that:

1) “your brother will rise again”.

2) “roll the stone away”. That’s the stone of the impossible. The stone that stands between you and a miracle. There’s been a few stones rolled away for us this year. Major projects that were stuck fast. But in each, God gave clear instruction. As in this case with Lazarus, when we obeyed, took action, we saw miracles. Still more stones to “roll away” for next year – still more miracles needed. Here’s some of our big highlights from 2012…

-In March we held an event featuring Bethany Hamilton where over 500 people attended!
-In July we ran our first ever School of Communication Foundations in July
-One of our Jan Sports DTS outreach teams saw over 2000 salvations in South America!
-Believe Campaign and Banquet Fundraiser – raising over 100k in cash donations!
-Believe Build – our biggest build to date including major structural changes, remodeling, complete rewiring, complete re-plumbing, & drainage, feature stair & balustrade, three new training rooms, commercial ladies bathrooms, commercial front facade….
Combined with our building teams, individual builders, and YWAM staff we put in a total of 14,000 hours of work over this build!
-At our annual 5 Day Escape Camp (Youth Street) we saw 40 young people give their lives to God
-20th Year Celebrations – we celebrated our 20th year in October with special guests from around Australia and our friends and family locally. See photos below!
-Our Creative and Communications Department now has 7 skilled staff working in areas of worship, online communications, marketing, film and photography and more.

Last but not least I’d love for you to watch this quick video tour we shot today of our warehouse so you can get an up to date look at it all….

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

David
